Three Lorestan University Faculty Members Recognized as Distinguished Iranian Scholars

Three faculty members of Lorestan University were included among the 77 scientific elites of Iran and were honored in the presence of the Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, quoting from the National Science Foundation of Iran, Dr. Mohsen Adeli (Faculty of Chemistry), Dr. Masoud Rahmati (Faculty of Literature and Humanities), and Dr. Saba Daliran (Faculty of Chemistry) were included in the list of 77 scientific elites of the country and were honored in a national ceremony.

The ceremony to honor the scientific and laboratory elites of the country was held on December 20, 2025, with the presence of Dr. Hossein Afshin, Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Ali-Mohammad Soltani, President of the National Science Foundation of Iran, Amir Younesian, Director of the National Laboratory Network, and a group of officials and prominent researchers of the country.

The "Scientific Elites" program has been launched since 2015 with the aim of identifying, supporting, and highlighting influential Iranian researchers and is dedicated to researchers who have played an effective role in the development of the frontiers of knowledge by publishing outstanding scientific works in reputable international journals.

Based on the announcement by the President of the National Science Foundation of Iran, the condition for entry into this program was the publication of high-quality works in journals of groups A to D in 2024.

The Vice President for Science, in this ceremony, while pointing to the growing trend of science production in the country, announced a 35% increase in the number of scientific elites and said: The number of articles published in reputable international journals with high quality has also increased by 28%, which indicates the improvement of the scientific position of Iranian researchers at the global level.

In this period, the scientific performance of 2030 Iranian authors who succeeded in publishing 857 articles in 135 international journals in 2024 was evaluated.

In the ranking of scientific institutions in the country in 2025, Sharif University of Technology and the University of Tehran jointly ranked first, and Tarbiat Modares University ranked third.

The presence of three faculty members of Lorestan University among the scientific elites of the country is a symbol of achieving scientific and research successes at the national and international levels.
